CC3 Challenge # 26

Happy Friday everybody !   Here we are for Challenge #26 ... have you been enjoying these challenges? I know I have. I'm excited every time to come and see what the new challenge is; and  to see the Curiosity Crew's Inspiration. This one was no different. The Compendium of Curiosity Community is so amazing... I love seeing all the talent and creativity.  A Compendium of Curiosities Volume III has been such a valuable tool... I tell anybody who I think would listen about the Challenges and try to encourage them to participate.

Linda Ledbetter; over on her Blog StudioL3 http://lindaledbetter.com/2015/04/compendium-of-curiosities-3-challenge-26.html;  Tim Holtz and Mario Rossi  have  "teamed " up to bring us these challenges. We are using Tim Holtz's book A Compendium of Curiosities Volume III ; and Linda has carefully laid out the guidelines http://lindaledbetter.com/compendium-of-curiosities-3-challenge-faq for us; she and her creative friends ... The Curiosity Crew has jump started us.  We have amazing sponsors too .  The Funkie Junkie Boutique http://www.thefunkiejunkie.com/ is this weeks sponsor. Participating in the challenges is so easy, follow Linda's guidelines; be inspired by the Curiosity Crew... visit each one of their blogs and show them some love(comment on their blog); open your book... Create your own piece... post it and you are good to go ! You have two opportunities to win a prize... there's the Curiosity Crew Choice Award; goodies from Tim Holtz/Mario Rossi and there is the Sponsors Prize a $25 Shopping spree ! Great fun...

I do hope you will come and join us... I'm going to look for you !
Oh and if you still don't have Tim's book go visit his site http://timholtz.com/ and order an autographed copy of his book, he'd love for you to have one !
Okay so ... Challenge #26 is  Smudge Stamping found on page 42 ... see it !

I had no idea until this morning what stamps I was going to use or what I would do with them. I'd been working on a  three year old UFO twenty page album. ( unfinished object) ... YES... I said three year old... all week and was determined to finish it first ...  AND I DID !!

So here is my project ... a tag

You must know it is so difficult not to tell you what all I did because I'm so pleased with myself ( Tim's techniques do that to you) ... but I can't give you details. I WILL tell you I had fun. I used FOUR of my Tim stamps ( I love that I'm using my Tim stash regularly as I do these challenges ).
I used Bird Feather, Classic #1 , Classic #4 and Typography. For interest I used various colors of Distress Ink; Shabby Shutters, Mowed Lawn Vintage Photo and Mustard Seed. I embellished my tag by adding ribbon, tissue tape, remnant rubs and word band .  My ribbon was colorized with a combination of mowed lawn and mustard seed ( also used the color combo for the
word band. I added colorful jute string... see how well it goes with that mowed lawn and mustard seed pear ? !  I also added some vintage photo and shabby  shutter spritzes using my distress marker spritzer ... so fun !

  1. Wow Rea', your tag is fantastic, I love how you took elements of those stamps to create a beautiful collage! Sadly, I did not manage a creation this time round and I am feeling guilty... Anne xx
