Inspiration Emporium has such a fun Challenge this month... you really should go check them outhttp://blog.inspirationemporium.com/?p=2379. I was having so much fun I wanted to share with you. This is my third card.
For my third card I used a Christmas Carol Stamp from my stash I stamped a manila card base using sepia archival ink ( I love the vintage look it gives). After stamping I applied the cutest little Mouse Choir Glitter rub on ( E-Z Rub-On Transfer) at the base of my stamp. They were so cute but needed something extra so I added rub-on snowflakes on the side a created a mask using the negative from my snow flake die cut that I colorized with a blend of distressing inks ... I was playing around ... so I'm not totally sure which colors I ended up with ( I was trying to match the colors in the mouse's scarf and hat ) . I believe I ended up using frayed burlap, faded jeans and weathered wood. This was so fun. Hope you enjoyed them all. I'm going back to clear my desk of Christmas for now and complete some other challenges ... see you later !

Christmas In June #2
She's back ! Okay Over at Inspiration Emporium http://blog.inspirationemporium.com/?p=2379 the Challenge for June Is Christmas In June ... so I've done three cards to share ( I got brave ).
My second card is using Heidi Swapp Believe Paper Stash, Tim Holtz Mini Reindeer Die and some fussy cut components from one of the papers. I fussy cut the octagon shape and also two Santas which I made dimensional by cutting one in sections and then using pop dots to pop it up . I added red ribbon and red bling from my Queendom stash. Another simple card.
It's so fun to pop the elements up and the red ribbon just made it all pop. I many more cards to do but I shall share only three. Once you get started the ideas start to come. See you shortly!

Christmas In June Inspiration Emporium June Challenge
Hi everybody ! Can't believe it's summer and Fourth of July is just around the corner and I'm making Christmas Cards ! Over at Inspiration Emporium http://blog.inspirationemporium.com/ the June Challenge is Christmas In June ... how fun is that ! Amidst the other UFO's on my table I now have Christmas card makings. Okay I was truly getting into this... gotta stop to get these posted; especially if I'm gonna be eligible to win that great prize of $50 . I love shopping in their store and I need some Tim supplies!
I chose my Heidi Swapp Believe Christmas Paper and my Tim Holtz Mini reindeer die; Tim Holtz Christmas Remnant Rubs for my first card. Oh and some eyelets from my stash and red bling... you know the reindeer needs a red nose !
I used the Kraft card as my background... I love the vintage look it gives. To further embellish I added lime green ribbon attached with my tiny attacher and silver eyelets from my stash. Before assembling I used Vintage photo Distressing ink on all my components, what a nice touch it gives !

12 Tags of 2014 June Tag
12 Tags of 2014 June Tag... Yay it's not the end of the month and my June tag is completed!
This month Tim did a watercolor mono print using the distress minis and stencils ... you gotta see this... it is so cool http://timholtz.com/12-tags-of-2014-june/.
Okay confession time ... I was highly upset that I could not get a hold of the French Flight Framelit... it was sold out and/or had not come in yet in a few of the places I tried. Anyway I improvised ... I had to cut those butterflies out free hand ... OMG ... talk about embracing imperfection. Okay I'm over it ( I WANT the framelit... I shall get that framelit) !!!
At first I was disappointed with my tag ( not over the framelit issue I guess) ... but as I watched the process unfold, I was very excited about it. Those stencils are fun. Check out Tim's blog for the links to some other designers these projects are amazing http://timholtz.com/more-distress-minis-to-love/; what these ladies did with these minis ... so cool !!
Okay I only own set #3 and set #1 of the distress minis :( ... if you check Tim's blog this week they were doing a giveaway... you know I commented on every blog trying for a chance to win those babies. Fortunately I have stencils eight of them I think ... hehehe... you know how I am about my Tim toys. I chose to use my stars ... wow this looks so amazing when it dries ( it looked disappointing at first ); the little minis just work so well for this technique. I love the colors I used spiced marmalade, peacock feathers, picked raspberry and mustard seed. And using them to colorize the ribbon just put the icing on the cake for me... the colors are so yummy. Tim showed us how to do the
Paula bow... it's gorgeous... well mine doesn't look like Paula's yet but close ... always wondered how she did those. I so love that every month I'm learning new skills; practicing some previously learned ones and experimenting. More importantly my "investment" in Tim product is paying off in a fabulous way !
Well that's it for now ... maybe tomorrow I'll complete some other challenges !

CC3 Challenge #4
CC3 Challenge #4 already ! Hi everybody it's that time ... Did you go over to Linda Ledbetter's Blog? What you waiting for?
http://lindaledbetter.com/2014/06/compendium-of-curiosities-3-challenge-4.html she's made it so easy ... all the details are right there. What a treat the CC3 Crew has some more amazing projects for you to see too ( I'm glad we don't have to pick winners! Let's see this is challenge #4 so our sponsors are http://www.thefunkiejunkie.com/ The Funkie Junkie Boutique.
Seriously ... I do hope you've gotten your book Tim's A Compendium of Curiosities Volume III, I can't stress enough how valuable this book is. You do need it to follow along with the challenges; but it is also a great resource... especially if you are like me and get excited about a technique and then forget how to do it :)
So you know I'm not going to give you techniques right ??! ... this challenge technique is Layering Stencil: Texture Paste found on page 49 ... let's go !!
It's so much fun to pull out my Tim toys. I chose to do a tag ... it was supposed to be a card but I changed my mind as I pulled out my supplies. So I'm using three of my stencils harlequin, stars and dot fade ( if you look close you'll be able to see all of them on my tag. And since I used my distress mini for my June Tim tag I decided to use them for this tag as well I used set #1 ( I only own two sets right now but hope to own more in the near future)... they are so cool to use with the stencils. And let's see I used two of my stampers anonymous sets ; stuff to say ( for the sentiment) and classic favorites #4 ( for one of the heads), and I used the botanical remnant rubs. For my embellishments I pulled some flowers from my Queendom stash and some mini brads that I colorized to make them look vintage with some broken china distress paint. I struggled with a design as I wasn't feeling creative this week ( that's the reason I went for the tag instead of a card ... I can use it for a bookmark)
it is fun to experiment! That's it for now... see you next time ! Oh my June Tag for 12 Tags of 2014 will be up soon too !

CC3 Challenge #3
Hi Everybody! Are you ready? It's that time CC3 Challenge #3 is up! Linda Ledbetter over at http://lindaledbetter.com/2014/05/compendium-of-curiosities-3-challenge-3.html and her fabulous Curiosity Crew has "jump started " us once again. Have you been over there yet? Seriously it would be well worth your visit.
Challenge #3 Faux Tea Roses ; comes from p. 65 of Tim Holtz's A Compendium of Curiosities Vol. III. You know the drill ... so get your book out !
I'm excited that Challenge #3 is sponsored by my friends ( yep ... they are my friends too) at Inspiration Emporium ( having trouble getting their link to come up right now). If you participate you have a chance to win a $50 gift certificate to their online store. I love having an opportunity to increase my Tim stash! Speaking of Tim stash ... the Curiosity Crew has a "choice" award too ... another great opportunity to score Tim stash 'cause Tim and Mario have equipped them with some cool Tim product ! So are you motivated to join us yet? Not yet! Alright ... go check out the Curiosity Crews work; it WILL inspire you.
I chose to do a tag. My weapons of choice were my spun sugar, squeezed lemonade and festive berries distress stains; tattered rose, festive berries and frayed burlap distress inks; latticework stencil, life quotes and botanical remnant rubs and that fabulous ( fabulous was also the word I chose) authentic shadow press set. One of the things I love about these challenges is that I get to play with so many of my Tim toys :) ! I used my Tim heart die and some other ideology findings!
Oh yes and the crinkle ribbon... I so love colorizing this ribbon. I also used my spritzer... fun fun !
I even pulled out some stickles.
I had some special help with my tag we had company the weekend so I taught them how to do the rose ( you know they wanted to do one).
I can't give you instructions but I can tell you I'm getting better at this ... yay me :) !
Well that's it for now. Go check out the work of my fellow Tim-ites ( is that a word? I don't know... but you know what I mean ... right?) . These are some creative people as well. I've seen some very cool projects... this is only #3... this journey is going to be amazing!
Oh let's see if Inspiration Emporium link will come up now ... http://www.inspirationemporium.com/... yay it worked this time ... so go visit them too ... okay?!
