Well now let's get started shall we ... this weeks challenge is Distress Watercoloring Part 2 found on page 40. You will enjoy this one ... I sure did. NO ... I'm not going to give you instructions ... OPEN YOUR BOOK... come play with us!
I'm so proud of myself... I'm using my Tim toys! For this challenge my weapons of choice were Tim Holtz's Classic #8 Stamp set, Calendar 1, Little Labels and Odds and Ends Stamp sets. For my embellishments I used Tim's Ideology number brads, heart charms, adornment arrows, corked vials, vials labels , label letters, postale tissue wrap and cordinations paper. I also used the alterations ticket die. And a few other misc. things from my stash . Told you I love my Tim toys !
That Classic # 8 Stamp set is so very cool. I love the details ! So I accidently hit the wrong button and the photo ... below wasn't the best ... but I wanted you to see the embellishments on the bottom.
I created this Valentine card using the techniques on page 40.
Hope you enjoyed it and hope to see your project too ! Don't for get to show the Curiosity Crew some love... See you again soon !

My CHA Highlights
CHA 2015 was awesome ! Having been sick for the holidays I wasn't sure I was going to be able to go ... but I made it for one day ! It was great spending the day with Heather and Karen.
I saw so many awesome Designers ... Tim Holtz ( my whole reason for going ... LOL ), Dyan Reaveley, Wendy Vecchi, Gentleman Crafter and Dina Wakley. So fun to get to talk to each one of them in person. I met Vicki Boutin, Julie Nutting, and Annette Green ... I was so jazzed ... all such delightful people. And of course I saw other friends Joy Kennedy, Mario and Ted, Paula too ... my day was made !!
I took pictures with Tim and Ted.
Tim's demos were amazing ... chalked full of information ... I tell you it's such a treat to see the demos and then have him share so much information and cool tips too !
Enjoyed the make-n--takes from Ideology, Sizzix, and Graphic 45. All the booths were amazing.
I took so many photos I'm only going to share a few.
Ranger sponsors a Designer Challenge so I took photos of the Designer's work ( Tim, Jim,Dyan,Wendy ... can't remember who all else ...
Ideology Booth was amazing ... as usual
Oops ... that's from Graphic 45 ...
Graphic 45 booth
Ooops ... Prima in there too ...
Such an amazing experience ... can't share it all! I had a wonderful time and met lots of new people
from various countries and states across America ! It's amazing to find people come from as far away as Spain !
This group came to meet Tim and watch his demos !

Okay so ... you KNOW we won't be sharing instructions ( that's why you NEED your book) ... Our Challenge 19 is Frayed Fabric on page 66 .
What I Can tell you is that I made this piece to hang in my Tim section of my craft room to remind myself " Take time for your Passion ". My piece was created using a layer of burlap, a layer of corrugated paper and then a layer of Tim's fabric. OMG too fun . Read page 66 you'll discover what I did... but then look at my piece... I added all kinds of Tim Holtz goodness ... the key says " stay curious " ! I used barn door, and fired brick distress inks on the edges of the burlap and on parts of the fabric, and on the muslin hearts; I used evergreen bough distress paint to colorize my metal embellishments and evergreen bough distress ink to colorize my ribbon. Did you check out my little girl ? She's cut from one of the found relatives (leftover from a previous project)... I thought she was a cute addition !
Both my fabric and my hearts are frayed and stitched ...
That evergreen bough is such a cool color... my color combo was interesting; this was not the original color plan ... I'm not disappointed ... I went with the flow !
